Most people who are dealing with homelessness today probably have been down on their luck for some time. Of course, there are instances where a person is homeless because of addiction or any other vice. However, in most cases, the homeless are people who made bad decisions or failed to succeed at what they are doing. No one chooses to be homeless, but some people dealing with the tough hand life dealt them choose to live it with the spirit of kindness and generosity.
Often, all it takes is for a person to get an opportunity and make the most of what they receive. Recently, a homeless man caring for a dog found the chance to make an honest living. A person eating at a nearby restaurant spotted the man carrying a sign that asked for donations to buy food for himself and his dog. The guy went out of his way to buy a meal for the guy and also some dog food. Upon handing over the dog food, the homeless person started crying, clearly touched by the gesture.
The guy then went ahead and asked the man if he wanted to make a living. The homeless man agreed, appreciative of the kindness he received. He proved himself the hardest-working employee, putting in full effort day after day. During the time working there, he told his new employer about the things he went through, with his wife passing away and losing his house. He used the money he made, working for a day, to buy camping provisions for himself and his dog, ensuring that he can get through the winter without hassle. You can read more about the story here.
